Basic Subject-Verb Agreement

If the subject of a sentence or clause is a singular count noun, a singular proper noun, a noncount noun, or he, she, or it, the verb adds -s. Here are some examples:

Lam goes home after every class.

He studies English on Monday evening.

He does not go to class during the day.

His teacher's advice helps him.
